Anubis Rises
Post Count: 42The Terran Empire rises again! Imperial Starfleet assign newly promoted Captain Valliére as the commander of their newest warship, the ISS Anubis. The brand new Hestia Class Warship boasts the most advanced and powerful weaponary and propulsion systems in the fleet. Imperial Starfleet task Captain Valliére with finding a crew and launching the ship, to once again show the Galaxy that the Terran Empire is back and will once again reclaim what was once theirs!
The Listening Post
Post Count: 0The ISS Anubis receives orders to travel to the Vesper System, a remote and strategically valuable system situated close to the boundary between restored Terran territory and the Klingon–Cardassian Alliance.
Decades earlier, the Terran Empire operated an extensive network of listening posts along its borders. These installations monitored foreign military movements, intercepted communications and provided Imperial Starfleet with early warning of possible invasions.
Many were destroyed during the Empire's collapse. Others were captured by the Alliance, stripped of useful equipment or simply forgotten.
One such facility is Imperial Listening Post Vesper-7, an ageing military station situated above the system's fourth planet.
Imperial Intelligence has recently recovered partial records indicating that Vesper-7 might still be structurally intact. Its position would make it exceptionally useful for tracking Alliance movements across several nearby systems.
The Anubis is assigned a seemingly routine task: locate the station, investigate its condition, restore essential systems and bring it back into Imperial service.
However, something isn't quite right.
